Stimulus
- Overview: We've got a slightly lighter DT with a rowing appetizer to spike our breathing at the start of each round. Barbell cycling under fatigue is the challenge today. How well can you strategize your breaks or can you hold onto that barbell all the way through to your rest each round?
- Calorie Row: About 1:00 of work or less.
- Deadlifts: Unbroken, or breaking after rep 11.
- Hang Power Cleans: Unbroken, or breaking after rep 8.
- Push Jerks: Unbroken sets for all rounds.
- Score: Rounds plus reps completed.
Strategy
- Athletes that are confident with their barbell cycling under fatigue should try to push their pace and hold onto the barbell each round.
- If we are less confident in our ability to hold onto the bar once we're breathing heavy, our breaks should be intentional and efficient.
- Breaks should happen with 1 rep of the prior movement left so that we can use our final rep to move into the next movement, this is so that we are not wasting energy doing extra reps of movements where we don't need to be.
